Sketchbook: Pandemic Lonely Days

Slice of life diary comic from my sketchbook.

Bless all the dogs in New York City that notice I exist :)

Connie--you raise one of the most difficult questions in America today--in an age of Covid, how do you meet companions--not dates--to share time with.

In my day you joined choral societies--they weren't too fussy about talent--or, like my one friend--a Unitarian Church with its build--your--own spirituality theology and pot luck dinners--or find a pick up volleyball game (my favorite).

At any rate, I'll bet the number of people who made friends on the streets of New York alone, is close to zero.

Time to up your game a notch and time for me to do so, as well.

Woof!

In my youth, a girl who wanted to meet people got a dog. A cute puppy usually attracts attention, and it was easy to progress from "What's his name? Boy or girl?" to other topics.
