For me, it's quilting. Or any kind of fibrecraft. I'm totally self-taught, with no one to help--and plenty to criticise. But my sewing machine would appear to hate me. Sometimes. I ask myself (and sometimes a longsuffering spouse): Why is it that women who never have a thought in their heads, can do this and get it right the first time? And I, who like to think of myself as reasonably intelligent, get tangled up repeatedly and can't sew straight along a marked line? And yet...I keep doing it.I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment.
