:D

I lived in San Francisco for while. The business district there would be totally deserted after 5pm or so—most residents fled home to other parts of the Bay Area and tourists would be down at Fisherman’s Wharf. One evening I was walking around and heard the refrain of a far-off street saxophonist echoing through the empty streets. I felt compelled to look around for Andy Warhol and his camera man, as I felt certain I was in somebody’s movie…

On the ground floor in my building lives a young guy who is learning to play the guitar. Yes, he bangs away at the same old chord progressions hour after hour. But man, he practices! Gotta admire that. Obviously takes it very seriously, the amount of time he gives it. And yes, he's getting better.

I just wish someone would teach him to play melodies, not just chords. He'd be really good.
