WELCOME!

WELCOME! This blog is a personal project I started in August 2011 with the goal of drawing and posting an illustrated status message a day - I haven't stopped since. On weekday mornings, I get up, draw a cartoon, and post whatever I can manage to before going to work. I began cartooning to find my voice. Still searching, but I've learned that the attempt is everything. What's your status message today?

Because Carpe Diem

I had to cartoon this. Thanks for everything you do, really.

Sometimes you just have to take the compliment, whereever you can find it

Interesting contrast to today's XKCD.

But who doesn't like genuinely happy people?

Ecch... Still God Bless you Connie :)

You never know who your art will touch in a positive way. The same person could be going through a pretty rough patch and maybe that one compliment or in the case that one comic might be the only ray of sunlight they see that day.

I know someone like this, too! So unlike me, gotta love him. :-)

People often stop themselves from being honest and giving compliments because they are afraid of being awkward or creepy. My policy is, there can never be any negativity from a sincere compliment,so if you have something nice to say, say it. You could make someone's day and they will appreciate that you went out of your comfort zone just to say it.
