The contents of my soul leak out of my eyes. I'd worry if it poured out of ears :)
Daniel Pinkwater once wrote aboout his experience as an art teacher in an elementaryu school. He would let uninspired kids throw paint against a canvas in a manner very similar to the cartoon.
One girl did it so long and so thoughtfully that Pinkwater claimed she learned the elements of color theory, an important part of every artist's education.
