Getting My First Vaccine Dose at the Javits Center

I was lucky enough to get a first-dose vaccine appointment yesterday at the Javits Center. After a year of living through a global pandemic and all that it brought, a lot of feelings raced through my mind as I made my way to get vaccinated.

When I got there, gratitude was the only emotion that mattered. May we all have this chance.

Thanks to everyone helping in the race to vaccinate our communities faster than than people can continue to spread the virus.

Be safe, keep wearing masks, and thanks for reading.

Better than ComicCon!

Says a lot!

When I got my second shot, I thought I won a "Get out of Jail card".

Got my first shot today at a large-scale local site and was so impressed by and grateful to not only the staff but by the large number of people patiently, calmly and politely waiting for their turns. Gives me some hope that we might actually get through this.

Spain's vaccination programme is disorganised (not to say shambolic) and slow. The same people who were saying they didn't trust it are now complaining they aren't getting it! So as for me and my house, we are staying close to home. I look forward to the day we can move about freely and feel the air on our faces again.

Got my second vaccine Wednesday. The site was run by FEMA and the United States Army. Also got $1,400 added to my bank account. Let's hear it for big government!
