Road Less Traveled

Today's cartoon is sloppy, but done. Two roads forked at the intersection -- doesn't have the same ring to it. Eh, what I can say -- I'm a city dweller.

I'm Not Bitter

Not bitter at all. Men are dumb, that's just a fact ;)

This is a smart phone scan, colored in Photoshop. My regular scanner is not working, so this will have to do.

French Metaphors

We were served cheesecake with chocolate sauce in a restaurant and this is what our friend Adrien had to say about it. (You have to read this in a French accent to get the full effect.)

A Status Message a Day #113

Missed a day of cartooning yesterday, but I had a good reason. This one is for Bridget and Adrien.

A Status Message a Day #112

Still basking in the afterglow of SPX 2012. Who needs a man if you have comics? ;)

Single Girl, Other City

I attended my first SPX over the weekend! It was a privilege to breathe the same air as Chris Ware, Dan Clowes, Gilbert & Jaime Hernandez, Adrian Tomine, and so many amazing, talented people in the indie cartooning world.

Hats off to the organizers for a fantastic event. I am both pooped and inspired to the max.

Jar of Sass

Where's my jar of sass when I need it??

Have a good weekend, folks :)

Coexisting With Humans

Here's a quick cartoon from my South Africa travel diary. I'm not better than this. I have the exact same reaction when I see small animals.

The owl, however, was less enthralled with us.

A Status Message a Day #111

Last week, one of my daily cartoons made the internet rounds and generated a lot of conversation. Thanks to all who participated, commented, shared, or just laughed. The response was really overwhelming and I've appreciated all the feedback from people around the world.

I'm a little off my morning game, but here's another cartoon in the rough. Happy mid-week.

City Pig in the Park

A quick sketch from my weekend, drawn from memory on the spot, after seeing a man walk his pet pig in a New York City park.

The pig, true to reputation, was completely focused on eating everything in her path.

I'll say this: Living in NYC is never boring.

Overheard by Connie #13

I was sketching a shrub on Sunday when a very disgruntled man "spoke" to me. This is a draft, but you get the idea.

Broken Clocks

Did you hear Bill Clinton's speech at the 2012 DNC on Wednesday? This was one of my favorite excerpts.

By the way, thanks to everyone for the super nice comments and emails this week! It means a lot and gave me a boost during extra long days :)

Relationship Standards Over Time

Busy week, so this was all I could manage today.

Somebody should do an empirical study on the Zone of Proximal Hooking Up ;)

Single Girl, Asian Daughter

Disclaimer: This is not an accurate representation of my parents. But they are Asian, so I used them as a reference :)

Angry Cowboy

This is as angry as you'll ever see me in a cartoon. I don't have a personal beef with Republicans, but I do have a problem with mean-spirited politics, no matter what side you're on.

If you disagree with me, say it to my face, not just to a choir of the like-minded.
