WELCOME! This blog is a personal project I started in August 2011 with the goal of drawing and posting an illustrated status message a day - I haven't stopped since. On weekday mornings, I get up, draw a cartoon, and post whatever I can manage to before going to work. I began cartooning to find my voice. Getting ready for a 2-week trip to South Africa! I'm nowhere near packed, but I'm visualizing :)
All I know is I'm bringing my passport, some brushes, and a sketchbook.

South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, bar none. There are big security problems though, so be safe. Have a great time and I look forward to seeing what you make of it.
